Connie values the connections teachers and administrators make between professional development topics.  When you determine an area for learning, she will make sure the audience sees the relevance between the learning they’ve already had, the learning they’re experiencing today, and the future learning they will have.

For example, if the focus for a workshop is principles of effective questioning, connections can be made to previous district focus on formative assessment, student engagement, teacher evaluation, learning targets, etc.

Connie encourages districts to provide professional learning and schedule planning sessions the focus on strategic coordination of professional development that will encourage fidelity and identify support systems for teachers.
